The Drexel Composers Group (DCG) was founded in 2007 by Jim Klein, three-time Emmy award winning composer and professor at Drexel University’s Music Industrsy program. Previously, there was no student organization on campus representing those interested in producing audio (music, foley, VO, post) for film and video, television, video games and other media. Since the group’s inception, members have scored for a wide variety of gigs, from student assignments to professional projects. It also serves as a learning resource, helping its members develop their creative, technical and business skills as well as provide connections to potential clients.
The DCG is currently run by Andrew Aversa (Music Industry, ’09) and Eric Masi (Music Industry, ’12). If you’re interested in joining the group, have a project that needs music, or have any questions or feedback about any related topics, email us at drexelcomposers@gmail.com.
